What did you forget to count?
Sometimes when you do an inventory you miss a few products. Sometimes products are gone. Previously you had to wait to find out about them until after you reconciled and checked the Unreconciled Inventory Report. Now they will be listed with a discrepancy of “Not Scanned” as soon as you import your scan files.
Lists As You Want Them
After you’ve scanned everything and fixed your problem products you’re left with a list of products with quantity differences. This is where your investigations begin. You’ll want to narrow down the list of products to research. Once you’ve done that you can print out the list as you see it on your screen, or you can export it to Excel and work with it from there.
Reports At Your Fingertips
It’s important to know the value of your inventory before and after you reconcile. To find out before, go to the File menu and select “Print Inventory by Category Summary Report”. You’ll be automatically prompted to print out the report after you click the Reconcile button. This will give you your post-inventory value.
Reconcile = Done!
Previously after you clicked Reconcile there was more work to be done. Now when you click Reconcile you’re done. You have completed all the tasks to insure that you have a clean and accurate inventory.
