Let’s talk turkey
This holiday season will look different than normal for many
people, but we still have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving day! Here’s
to health, happiness, and a new version of Ascend.
Limited support: The Ascend support line will be closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving holiday. Emergency support will be available on Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm CST, along with Saturday and Sunday like usual.
For non-emergency situations, check out the Ascend Knowledge Base for tips and tricks to get you back on track. Or, submit a support ticket here that will be addressed when we return to the office the following Monday.
Update to November 2020: The November 2020 version of Ascend is now available! This version comes with plenty of excellent updates including SMS text message and email history, Multipoint Inspection history, and more. Set aside plenty of time outside of business hours to update your computers.
Make sure to verify your computer is on the most up-to-date version of Windows before updating your Ascend software. Windows updates are best done outside of business hours as they can take some additional time. Updating your computer software helps ensure a smooth transition whenever you update other software, drivers, and programs – like Ascend – on your machine.
Visit Ascend University: With a new update, comes new modules! Log into Ascend University to catch up and maintain your Retail Sherpa status. New videos are still coming, but here’s what you might have missed recently.
- Navigate Ascend HQ – Do you know your Mountain Metrics? Get the details on your basic Ascend HQ data in this new module.
- Work Order Multipoint Inspection Walkthrough – The Multi-Point Inspection checklist in Ascend is a great tool for your service center, and this module can help you start utilizing it today!

So how do you know when you’re an Ascend Retail Sherpa? Great question!
Log into Ascend.University using the account you previously set up. Navigate to Rewards on the Ascend University homepage, by either scrolling down to the section or clicking REWARDS in the upper right. This section shows you your points total in orange above the total available points for each Ascend University school (Basics, Sales, Inventory, and Services).
For example: If I have 85 points out of an available 95 points in the Basics school, I would see an orange 85 above 95 in the circle for Basics.
You can find the modules you still need by clicking on the name of a school (such as Basics) at the top of the home screen. The dropdown menu opens, showing you all the modules in that School. Any completed modules have a checkmark next to them. Your incomplete modules do not have a mark.
