Start the cycle right
Inventory season is wrapping up, but that doesn’t mean you should put your inventory scanner away! This week we’ll explore how to create a plan to run cycle counts periodically throughout the year. Plus, learn what else you can do to stay on top of things this year.
Cycle counts: Cycle Counts are an excellent way to keep your inventory organized, and get set up for an easy annual full-store inventory. Here’s what you need to get started:
- Make sure you have an account on Ascend University. Then, once you’re logged into the site, select Training > Inventory > Cycle Counts to watch our short videos (numbered 1 through 6) on the full Cycle Count process.
- Make sure any staff that is helping with Cycle Counts have the correct Ascend User permissions.
- And finally, make sure your Inventory Scanner is up and running! If it hasn’t been used in a while, make sure to reboot it before doing anything else. Then, if you’re having any issues with the scanner, check out our troubleshooting video and documentation.
GYBWA: We’re offering several sessions of our one-day Grow Your Business with Ascend seminars over the next couple months. They’re taking place at locations across the continent (including Canada!). Join us to get personalized training specific to your business. Contact us today to learn more.
Get your login: Over the holidays, we rolled out a new and improved website. Next, we’ll be rolling out individual accounts for each and every one of our retailer locations.
These personalized logins give us the opportunity to tailor the website to your individual needs – you won’t need to wade through files for other countries or see features that don’t apply to your business.
