We’re halfway through November already – can you believe it? This week we’re asking you to send us your questions about the Winter 2016 version of Ascend, giving you a quick tip to help with the holiday season, and want to remind you about our limited support available next week. Read on to learn more!
What’s on Your Mind: The Winter 2016 version of Ascend is just about ready for prime time. But we know you have questions and we want to share answers. So, we’re gathering any doubts, concerns, and inquiries from current users to answer during our release webinar next month.
All you have to do is jot it down or record it using the Voice Memo app on your smartphone and send it to our team at email@example.com.
With You or in the Bag: The gift-giving (and receiving!) season is here. Easily update your system defaults to include gift receipt printing on all sales. Simply:
- Navigate to Options from the Ascend Desktop
- Select Receipts
- Click Defaults from the Extra Receipt Options
- Enable the Print Gift Receipt option and click OK
- Record your changes by selecting Apply
Once enabled, Ascend will automatically print gift receipts for completed sales. And if you’d like to skip it for individual transactions all you have to is uncheck the Print Gift Receipt option from within the Change Due window upon completing a sale.
Inventory Inquiries: Selling is great! But knowing how much you can sell makes it even better! Stay on top of your inventory this holiday season by performing Cycle Counts. Learn how using our written help documentation here or ace the modules on Ascend University using the links below:

Limited Support: The holidays are quickly approaching and that means we’ve got special Holiday Hours coming up next week. Ascend Support will not be available on Thursday, November 25th. And there will be limited support via our Emergency Support Line on Friday November 25th.
If you need a hand before the holiday, we have regular (8AM-6PM CDT) and Emergency (6PM-10PM CDT) support available through Wednesday, November 23rd.
Upgrade and Save: If you’re still hanging onto old MC1000 inventory scanners, now is perfect the time to upgrade to the MC2180. The MC1000 has been discontinued by the manufacturer for several years, and has only limited support for a few more.
